The 2015 BOM project was a SML 50th Anniversary Quilt. Participants were able to personalize their quilts by adding their own individual interpretations through the use of appliqué and photo transfers.

Pictured top left are Cindy Clark (left) and Susan Palmer (right). Displayed behind them is the SML 50th Anniversary Quilt which was designed, pieced and quilted by Cindy. Cindy and Susan presented the quilt to the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, October 24, 2014. The quilt depicts Smith Mountain Dam, as well as other local water and mountain scenes. Smith Mountain Lake will officially celebrate its 50th Anniversary on March 7, 2016. At right is a closer view of a section of the quilt.

On October 28, 2015, the Laker Weekly ran an article about the quilt Cindy donated to the Chamber of Commerce. The chamber is selling raffle tickets for the quilt for $5 each at the Visitors Center at Bridgewater Plaza. The drawing will be March 7, 2016.
