2009 CHALLENGE - "THINK GREEN!"

Sue Dixon was our 2009 Challenge Coordinator. The 2009 quilting challenge was "My Interpretation of the Color Green" or "Think Green!" The perimeter of each entry was limited to120 inches. There was no limitation on the minimum size. The entries could be traditional or art quilts. The quilts were viewed and voted on by LQG members at our December Luncheon.

Here are the winners with their Challenge Quilts. From left to right: Pat Blice, Red Ribbon for Embroidered Landscape; Bette Gove, Yellow Ribbon for "Green is the Color of Life;" Joyce Noell, Honorary Mention for "Celtic Twist;" Pat Lingle, Blue Ribbon for "Save Our Planet - Recycle;" and Betty Hatfield, Honorary Mention for "The Tortoise and the Hare." The total number of quilts entered in the Challenge was 35.
