March 24 was National Quilting Day. Lake Quilters Guild of Smith Mountain Lake held an event to honor the occasion. Guilds within a 100 mile radius were invited. It was held at Resurrection Church, Moneta, Virginia. Augusta Cole was the guest speaker. The celebration also included venders, a show & tell session, and a raffle quilt (see below). Door prizes and favors were given away. Next year the event will be hosted by Star Quilters Guild of Roanoke.
