July 10-23. Peaks & Pieces Quilt Guild 23rd Annual Quilt Show At the Bedford Central Library. The quilts may be viewed during regular library hours. On Friday, July 12th the show will open until to 8 PM for 2nd Fridays extended viewing hours.Visit and see beautiful quilts in a wide variety of styles and sizes including contemporary, traditional and art quilts. September 5-7. The Rockbridge Pieceworkers Quilt Guild (RPQG) is pleased to announce "Quilts in the Country 2019," a judged quilt show to be held September 5-7, in conjunction with the Rockbridge Regional Fair. The quilt show judge this year is Paula Golden, quilt artist and teacher. The exhibit will be on display at the Virginia Horse Center, Anderson Coliseum Mezzanine Exhibit Room. Quilters are invited to participate in the show by submitting an entry. An entry form can be found on the guild's website: The entry forms are due by Wednesday, August 9, 2019.

September 21-22. The Dolly Madison Quilt Guild is celebrating it's 30th Anniversary this year and plans to make their fall Quilt Show memorable! Hours are Saturday 10:00 A.M - 5:00 P.M and Sunday 11:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Admission is $5.00 Per Person. The show will be held at Prospect Heights Middle School in Orange, Virginia. Proceeds from admissions and the Quilt Raffle will go to the Shining Hands Caring Kidz Program. They will have approximately 200 quilts and other items to view, all never shown before. There will be a Quilt Search Treasure hunt, with prizes, along with the fun of selecting the best quilt in each category. There will be many handcrafted items for sale in their gift shop and a raffle of a King Size Quilt! They will have vendors and local artisans, a "Name Your Price" white elephant sale (with everything being quilt or sewing related) and the sale of fabulous fabric donated by a previous member.
