June Quilter of the Month - Melissa Gray Hizy

"Gee, I really like that boot..."

"Let me take a closer look!"

Melissa, at left, discusses her work.

Melissa is always working on something and has made many projects as gifts through the years. Recently, she has been beading, embroidering and embellishing with found objects. Her latest addiction has been quilted jackets from bought sweatshirts. Melissa loves being a member of Lake Quilters Guild and finds it very energizing to be around so many creative and accomplished women.

 All tidied up!
